Team Sponsor

Definition

A team sponsor is an individual, group or business that pays the cost of start up for a team of six Caring Pals street Team members that engage the public on city sidewalks and in other open spaces in brief discussions about helping kids in America, offering ways to support to those interested in getting involved, and, acknowledging the support of the team sponsor. The cost of starting up a team varies depending on location, but is typically between $3,500. and $4,500. The on-going cost of maintaining a team is $200. a month.

Requirements

Any individual, group or business that is not associated with the sale or promotion of tobacco, pornography, and/or other products and services that may be deemed inappropriate.

Process

The process is simple and fast: (a) the potential sponsor completes the online contact form and/or calls the Caring Pals office to indicate interest; (b) within 48 hours a Caring Pals representative will contact the potential sponsor to arrange a telephone conference, and to answer any questions the potential sponsor may have; (c) within 24 hours of the conference, an outline of the cost of sponsorship and a sponsor agreement are sent to the potential sponsor; and (d) within 48 hours of receipt of the signed agreement, team set up begins. The entire process - from initial contact to the day that the team starts activities - will take two to three weeks.

Period

The typical initial term of sponsorship is two to three months.

Benefits

The primary benefit is the satisfaction of helping children in America (On average, the efforts of a 6-person street team working for just one week will result in more than thirty thousand dollars donated to organizations helping kids in America). Secondary benefits include (a) the opportunity to select the organizations (including local and national) that the street team promotes; (b) the opportunity to include your name and logo on the team's apparel (see benefit details; (c) the opportunity to include your name, logo, and a message in the materials team members provide to the public; (d) the opportunity to include advertising materials such as coupons in the package team members provide to the public; (e) the opportunity to host and/or attend regular team meetings and community meet ups; and (e) access to the online team page and weekly reports.
