What Is A Team?

Jill Gardner is a team sponsor

Caring Pals - our newly-formed group of  ambassadors for needy children in America, and the organizations helping them - is starting up six-person Caring Pals Street Teams - in major U.S. cities.   Each team will be sponsored by a local or national business or group - whose name and/or logo will be displayed on our uniforms.  These teams will hit the sidewalks, introducing our organization and cause to interested members of the public, encouraging them to join in our mission to help kids in America, and facilitating a relationship of support between them and a charitable organization of their choice.

By directly engaging the public in friendly sidewalk encounters, a Caring Pals Ambassador (CPA) puts a face on the charitable organizations represented, potential donors are introduced to the cause at hand, and many become involved in helping both financially and in other ways.

Face-To-Face fundraising, still relatively new, is the most effective and cost-efficient fundraising means.  NPOs such as Save The Children, Green Peace, World Wildlife Fund, Care, Plan International, and Children International utilize for-profit fundraising companies to conduct it.

While CPAs will be utilizing this relatively new and highly-successful fundraising method, there is a new twist:  Caring Pals teams will be sponsored by a particular local or national business;  potential donors will be able to choose from a selection of charities - both national and in their own community - to become involved with on an on-going basis; and CPAs will merely act as hosts, on behalf of the local sponsor, signing on the donors as "members" of Caring Pals, and facilitating their donations to the charitable organizations selected.

What Are The Benefits To Sponsorship?

Of course the primary benefit is the good feeling you'll have from knowing that your sponsorship has enabled the team to unite many new donors with charitable organizations helping kids right here in America, including in your community.   And, unless you opt otherwise, your business' compassion and involvement is displayed in the form of logos and/or names on our apparel and printed materials, your presence on the team's web page, and a "Thank you" letter from you to those members of the public that join Caring Pals.  This has a proven positive impact on your customers.  Finally, because we are a non-profit (501 C-3) organization, your contribution is tax-deductible.

What Charitable Organizations Will Be Promoted ?
One of the most unique and exciting aspects of our street teams program is that we will not be limited to promoting for one particular charitable organization.  Instead of represening the charity, Caring Pals USA will represent the supporter.  This gives us the freedom to provide information on various organizations selected from our sponsor-approved list, and to connect the supporter with one or more of those organizations.  We also offer invitations to join our Community of Care.

What If We Are Not Located In A Caring Pals City?

If your business is not located in one of the cities where Caring Pals fundraisers are currently operating, you may either sponsor a team in your city of choice, or we'll set up a team in your city.

How Does My Business Sponsor A Team?

To sponsor a team of six, local businesses merely need to donate the Start-Up Cost  (approximately $3,000., depending on local & state registration fees).  In return, the sponsor's name and logo are displayed on CPSF's uniforms, printed materials and web-page.  The sponsor also pays an on-going cost of $50. a week (to maintain uniforms and for printing costs).  There is no payroll.*  And no other obligations of the sponsor - although sponsors are encouraged to get involved in other ways, such as local get-togethers of donors, choosing the selection of charitable organizations, and communcating with the media

Can A Business Sponsor More Than One Team?

Yes.  A business may sponsor up to 5 teams in any one city (subject to size and population), and may do so in various cities.
