Dedicated Street Teams
Definition
Face-to-face fundraising by trained street team members on the sidewalks and in public spaces of major cities has become
one of the most effective fundraising tools for major charitable organizations like Save The Children, Care, Plan International,
Children International, and Green Peace. These organizations are finding that street team activities in just one major city
are recruiting more supporters, and for longer periods of time, than nationwide television advertising. On average, a one
street team fundraiser will enlist three to four new donors/sponsors (giving recurring monthly donations) each day. Estimating
each new donor's value at $500. (over the course of their giving), puts the one day value to the charity of that street team
fundraiser's efforts at more than $1,500. Just one team of six fundraisers can be expected to sign on about 90 new donor/sponsors
as recurring givers (with a value to the charity exceeding $40,000.) each week. Caring Pals USA offers a unique
partnership program. we will organize and train one or more of our street teams to fundraise for your charitable organization
exclusively.
Requirements
To be eligible, your organization must be a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation that focuses on programs helping children
or the environment. Additionally, your organization must pay the cost of start up (uniform production, printed materials,
license & registration fees, and training) which will be between $3,500. and $4,500. per team of six (depending on the
city). There is no continuing payment to Caring Pals USA (we are a non-profit organization). Finally, your organization must
have the capability to accept recurring monthly donations.
Process
Visit the contact page of the Caring pals USA website and indicate your interest to utilize dedicated street team(s) to
fundraise for your organization. A Caring Pals USA street team coordinator will respond to you within 48 hours. If your organization
can meet the above requirements, a meeting will be arranged. In part, our agreement will provide, and via sign up forms donors
will authorize, that a portion of the donation will go to Caring Pals USA to help kids in America. (This portion will not
exceed 10% of the estimated value of the donor).
Period
It takes 3 weeks to get a team on the streets.
Benefits
Your charity will receive the benefits of face-to-face fundraising. Moreover, because a portion of the funds are earmarked
for helping kids in America, your charity gets the added benefit of being associated with that cause.
