Care Marketing
Definition
Care Marketing (cause marketing) combines product promotion with charity, and improves both sales and the good name of
the participating merchant. Care Marketing is highly-effective for a variety of businesses seeking to attract new customers.
There are Care Marketing solutions specially designed for merchants providing services, including, beauty spas & salons,
fitness clubs, theaters, hotels, tourist attractions, entertainment venues, and restaurants; and others designed for outlets
selling merchandise, including shops & boutiques.
The three most popular Care Marketing programs are:
[1] Membership Rewards Program ( for any type of business),
[2] Certificate
Sales Program (for merchants offering a service), and
[3] Percentage
Sales Program (for merchants selling merchandise).
In each case, Caring Pals USA promotes the merchant and product(s) via its website, newsletter, street teams, and Community of Care.
[1] Membership Rewards Program - Merchants may participate in, and
benefit from, the Caring Pals USA Membership Rewards Program in either of two ways: (a) by
offering certain discounts to Caring Pals USA members, or (b) by donating vouchers redeemable by
Caring Pals USA members for particular services.
(A) Offering Discounts
The merchant agrees to give a specified discount, such as "25% off," on one or more products or
services, to holders of a Caring Pals USA membership card, for a specified period of time. Caring Pals USA
then announces the offer to its membership via its newsletter and message boards, and to its potential membership via its
street teams, thereby promoting the merchant.
(B) Donating Vouchers
The merchant, provides (donates) vouchers to Caring Pals USA, which vouchers are
redeemable for a particular service, or set of services, by each new Caring Pals USA member, which service(s) may be
accepted only once and within the first 30 days of membership. Caring Pals USA then uses the vouchers to
increase its membership by offering them, via its street teams, as rewards to new members, thereby funding
its mission to help kids in America, and, at the same time, promoting the merchant. (The value of the services
rendered when the vouchers are redeemed is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.)
[2] Certificate Sales Program - The merchant provides
to, and authorizes Caring Pals USA to sell, printed certificates or tickets, redeemable for a specific
service or set of services (such as a spa package, fitness club membership, or entrance to a show), at a specific price (less
than that otherwise available), for a specific period of time or until the merchant desires to end the sale. (In
lieu of providing the certificates or tickets, the merchant may opt to simply accept, for the period of the sale, the
Caring Pals USA validated receipts issued to the buyers.)
A set portion of the selling price is donated by the merchant to Caring Pals USA, and that amount is tax-deductible
to the extent allowed by law. This is similar in nature to promotional campaigns utilizing for-profit promoters
to sell tickets or certificates on city sidewalks for comedy clubs, spas and hair salons, but with
more advantages...
Like for-profit promotion teams, our street teams bring your business the benefit of being able to reach out
and attract new customers - those whom might not otherwise have come in contact with what you have to offer. Unlike
for-profit promotion teams, which may appear to exist solely for the purpose of "making a buck," Caring Pals USA
street teams enhance the good name of your business by associating it with a worthy cause (helping kids), and
are highly effective because the public is aware that by buying they are supporting that cause. Moreover,
the buyer's awareness that their purchase has helped a worthy cause will typically increase their satisfaction
with the service(s) received from the merchant.
[3] Percentage Sales Program - The merchant authorizes Caring
Pals USA to advertise and/or put up for auction at a specific price certain merchandise in the possession of the merchant.
Following receipt of payment, the buyer accepts delivery from the merchant, and the merchant donates a percentage of the sale
to Caring Pals USA.
Requirements
Any individual, group or business may apply to utilize Caring Pals USA Care Marketing.
Process
Simply visit the contact page at our website to indicate your interest in Caring Pals USA Care Marketing. A Care Marketing
agent will respond within 48 hours of receipt of your message, and assist you in determining which Care Marketing program
is best for you. Within 24 hours, a Care Marketing agreement will be mailed to you. We encourage all merchants to implement
our Membership Discounts program to some extent, and to display the "We Care About Kids" Caring Pals USA emblem.
Period
Except to honor any sale from which you have already accepted payment, you may cancel a Care Marketing Program at any time
either by postal mail or telephone. Your request will be honored within 72 hours of receipt.
Benefits
In addition to helping needy kids in America, Care Marketing increases sales by providing the merchant with access to the
Caring Pals USA membership, and free promotion in our newsletter, on our web site, and through our street teams. Care Marketing
enhances the good image of a merchant, and offers several means by which to attract new customers. The Membership Discount
Program is attractive to shoppers because many merchants participate. Subsequently membership increases, and an increased
membership provides more customers for the merchant. The Certificate Sales Program provides merchants with, among other things,
a street team presence attracting buyers that might not have otherwise become customers. And the Percentage Sales Program
increases sales by associating the merchant with a popular and important charitable cause. Further, any discounts provided,
and percentages of sales donated to Caring Pals USA are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
