Caring Pals USA
Helping Kids In America
About Us
Caring Pals USA is a non-partisan, non-profit network of volunteers dedicated to helping children in America. We call this
network our "community of care." Through Community Coordinators across the country, we identify the varying needs of children,
organize support, and implement assistance. We are united against childhood poverty, illiteracy, homelessness, abuse, hunger,
disease, and other suffering, and we believe that every child can grow to be a healthy, educated and productive member of
society. We effect our mission through "Care Initiatives" and "Care Communities."
Care Initiatives
"Care Initiatives," allow us to directly aid children in communities across America through initiatives such as Care Books
(providing reading books for children), Care Clothing (providing new clothing to needy kids), and Care Mail (providing cards
and gifts to ill children), as well as to support other organizations with proven-effective programs helping children in America.
A list of "other" organizations that aid in various ways (helping deaf children, providing seeing-eye dogs for blind children,
striving to cure childhood disease, etc.) is at our website. Our primary means of supporting these organizations is through
our street team program.
Street Team Program
Sponsorhip makes possible our street program which brings the issue of helping children in America to the public in a friendly,
welcomed and cost-effective way. On behalf of the team sponsor, whose name and logo may appear on team uniforms, super courteous,
smiling street team members, we call "sidewalk ambassadors," introduce interested members of the public to the issues affecting
children in their communities, to various programs and organizations helping those kids, and to ways that they can support
one or more of those organizations. (The team sponsor chooses a selection of charities from our list of qualified organizations to be promoted by the team.)
Because sponsorship pays the cost of street team activities, 100% of donations received may fund the programs helping the
children.
Care Communities
Our Care Communities are the foundation of our nationwide network. And are what sets Caring Pals USA apart from other organizations. While
many large NPOs utilize for profit fundraising companies, have

limited or no volunteer opportunities, conduct relief work primarily in faraway places, and limit aid to a specific
location or cause, Caring Pals USA does not. We are and depend upon a growing network of volunteers, making up what we call
a "Community of Care" across America. These volunteers identify areas of need in their own communities (perhaps a playground
needs to be cleaned, a community center painted, funds are needed to pay for medical care for an ill child, or a local organization
helping kids is deserving of our assistance). Our community of care then comes together to help. We do this by fundraising
and/or organizing volunteer assistance. And because we have come together to support the children of America, we also have
a group "voice" that gives us the ability to gain the support of city officials and local corporations in the position to
help.
Membership
The combination of volunteerism and sponsorship makes Caring Pals USA a highly-effective and cost-effective network. Members
of the network, we call "community members," help pay the cost of operation through a nominal subscription fee. Each member
receives a subscription to the Caring Pals newsletter, access to our member site, opportunities to attend local meet-ups,
and to participate in the various Care programs, and a membership card entitling them to take advantage of various offers
from participating merchants. (Members are also encouraged to contribute to the newsletter, to nominate children and organizations
in their area in need of our assistance, and to participate in our various initiatives to the extent they are able.) Members
are not obligated to participate in any program.
Performing Arts Project
Our newest initiative, is the unique and exciting Performing Arts Project. An individual, group or business may sponsor
an entertainer (violinist, floutist, dancer, story-teller, juggler, etc.) to perform at any public space, or with permission,
at schools and businesses. For example, anyone could sponsor a strolling violinist to play for several hours at a local park.
Or a magician to do a show and/or workshop at an interested school or community center. Or a bank or restaurant may sponsor
a solo musician to play background music for their customers. Entertainers do not solicit donations, the nominal cost of sponsorship
compensates the entertainer and helps support Caring Pals USA. This project aids kids while supporting the arts, and enlivening
communities!
