Community Coordinator

Definition

Each Community Coordinator is the key Caring Pals representative in his or her community, leading the drive to enlist local businesses as street team sponsors or as Care Marketing partners, helping to attract and inform community residents about Caring Pals USA, organizing meet ups, and nominating area children and organizations to be recipients of Caring Pals USA assistance. Community Coordinators file brief weekly reports, are encouraged to contribute to the Caring Pals USA newsletter, and may moderate the Community Caring Pals USA online message board.

Requirements

Adult individuals interested in volunteering to be Community Coordinators should have at least 6 hours a week to devote to Caring Pals USA activities, possess good communication skills, have daily internet access, and enjoy meeting new people.

Process

To volunteer to be a Community Coordinator, simply visit the contact page at the Caring Pals USA. All offers to volunteer shall be responded to within 48 hours of receipt.

Period

A Community Coordinator may continue as such indefinitely. Caring Pals USA encourages Community Coordinators to give at least two weeks notice, and nominate a replacement in the event they must end their term.

Benefits

Community coordinators can take pride in the fact that their activities, including attracting new volunters, community members, and sponsors, result in help for children both across America and in their communities. As representatives of and local organizers Pals USA, Community Coordinators meet and make friends with many caring individuals, business owners and, on occasion, children we are assisting. Community Coordinatorsalso receive all of the benefits of community membership.
